⚠️ Black Box & Safety Alert: NOT FOR DIRECT INFUSION. Because this solution is hypotonic, direct intravenous injection can cause hemolysis (rupturing of red blood cells). It must be mixed with suitable solutes to achieve isotonicity before administration.
