Ethyl Chloride® Gebauer’s Medium Stream Spray, 100% Strength, 3.9 fl oz

Ethyl Chloride® Gebauer’s Medium Stream Spray, 100% Strength, 3.9 fl oz

Individual 3.9oz. Spray Bottle | Case (12 Bottles / Each)

Gebauer’s Ethyl Chloride® (Product #0386-0001-03) is an FDA-cleared, prescription-only (Rx) instant topical anesthetic spray. As a vapocoolant, it creates an instantaneous numbing effect by rapidly evaporating from the skin’s surface, lowering the skin temperature to approximately -11°C to 4°C. The Medium Stream delivery is specifically designed to cover larger surface areas, making it a preferred choice for managing myofascial pain, trigger points, and muscle tension, as well as providing pre-injection numbing.

Key Features

  • Instant Onset: Provides numbing within seconds of application, allowing for immediate clinical procedures.

  • Non-Drug Formula: Does not contain traditional anesthetic drugs like lidocaine; relief is achieved solely through the cooling effect of evaporation.

  • Medium Stream Pattern: Offers a wider spray pattern than the “fine stream” version, ideal for “Spray and Stretch” techniques and treating larger muscle groups.

  • Safety Locking Ring: Features a protective ring on the valve to prevent accidental discharge during storage or transport.

  • Clear Evaporation: Leaves no residue or signs of product on the skin surface once evaporated.

Clinical Applications

  • Needle Procedures: Reduces pain associated with immunizations, IV starts, and venipuncture.

  • Minor Surgery: Temporary numbing for lancing boils, incision and drainage (I&D), and suture removal.

  • Myofascial Pain: Used in the “Spray and Stretch” technique to treat trigger points and muscle spasms.

  • Sports Medicine: Immediate relief for minor sprains, strains, and contusions.

⚠️ Black Box & Safety Warnings: EXTREMELY FLAMMABLE. Do not use near open flames, sparks, or electrical cautery equipment. Use only in well-ventilated areas.

⚠️ Usage Note: Hold the bottle inverted (upside down) to spray. Spray the site for 3–7 seconds or until the skin begins to turn white. Do not frost the skin.

⚠️ Contraindications: Do not spray in eyes or on open wounds/broken skin. Over-application can lead to frostbite or altered skin pigmentation.
