Key Features & Clinical Applications
-
High-Potency Anti-Inflammatory & Immunosuppressive Therapy: Delivers rapid corticosteroid action across severe inflammatory conditions, acute allergic reactions, endocrine emergencies, cerebral edema, and rheumatologic disorders.
-
Oncology & Acute Care Adjunct: Widely utilized in hospital and outpatient infusion settings for chemotherapy-induced nausea and vomiting (CNAV) prophylaxis and management of severe airway edema.
-
Versatile Multi-Route Administration: Formulated for systemic IV infusion/injection, deep IM administration, or targeted local injections (intra-articular, intralesional, or soft tissue).
-
Multi-Vial Clinic Pack Efficiency: Supplied in a 10-vial box format to streamline bulk storage, reduce unit procurement overhead, and maintain stock readiness across outpatient suites and surgical centers.
⚠️ Preservative Hazard (Benzyl Alcohol Warning): Contains benzyl alcohol as a preservative. Benzyl alcohol is associated with serious adverse events, including “gasping syndrome” and death in neonates and low-birth-weight infants. Do not use in neonates, infants, or premature infants.
⚠️ Infection Masking & Immunosuppression: Corticosteroids may mask signs of infection and decrease host resistance. Avoid abrupt cessation following long-term therapy to prevent acute adrenal insufficiency.
⚠️ Route Precaution: Local intra-articular administration must be performed under strict aseptic conditions to prevent septic arthritis. Avoid injecting into unstable or infected joints.
